Abstract |
INTRODUCTION To measure the energy expenditure and intensity during walking and running at A and B campuses of S university and to analysis the exercise physiological character of each campus. METHOD The subjects were consisted 20 college students. The length of A and B campus were 585m and 1,235m. The subjects were walked and ran 2 rotation on campuses, and measured EE, HR, HRR, RPE, and SF. RESULT Both periods of walking and running at B campus were longer than those of A campus. Both EE of walking and running at B campus were higher than those of A campus. But there were no significant difference between A and B campus on relative EE both male and female, walking and running, except the first rotation of female walking. There were no significant difference between A and B campus on HR both male and female, walking and running, except the second rotation of male running. There were no significant difference between A and B campus on HRR both male and female, walking and running, except the second rotation of male running. There were no significant difference between A and B campus on RPE both male and female, walking and running, except the first rotation of female walking and running. Both SF of walking and running at B campus were higher those of A campus.
CONCLUSION EE, locomotion periods, and SF of B campus were higher those of Seoul campus by the difference of length. However HR, HRR, RPE of Seoul campus were similar with the those of B campus. The locomotion guideline for each campus and gender were proposed for exercise program. |
