Abstract |
INTRODUCTION This study was to analyze on sports injuries by positions in baseball players. METHOD All subjects were received exercise rehabilitation for treatment of their injuries and The data collected during June 2001-May 2010. 595 baseball players were included. The subjects was divided into 3 groups(G1:Pitchers, G2:Infielders, G3:Outfielders). RESULT The results demonstrated that elbow injuries was 50.4% and shoulder injuries were 28.1%. especially, In MRI diagnosis of injuries, Ulnar collateral ligament(UCL) injury was most frequent(28.1%), and followed SLAP Lesion(14.8%), capitellum OCD(13.6%), shoulder impingement(9.1%), and low back pain(5.7%). The injuries of the baseball players by position were significantly higher pitcher than other position players.
Pitchers had most injuried on UCL tear(36.2%) and Infielder players had most injuried on capitellum OCD(21.6%), and then outfielder players had most injuried on UCL tear(21.2%). Elbow joint injuries was decreased as increasing age and Shoulder joint injuries was increased with increasing age. CONCLUSION It concluded baseball players had the most injuried on UCL tear and In-fielder player had injuried more frequently on capitellum OCD than UCL tear. Also, Pitcher and Out-fielder had injuried the most on UCL tear. Knee joint injuried was gradually decreased, and back pain had the most injuries in high-school period among grades. |
